Proteo Posted August 24, 2005 Share Posted August 24, 2005 Mmmm.. that's strange. I got running Apache as easy as clicking on the Personal Web Sharing option of the Sharing preference pane. Then edited the httpd.conf file to uncomment the two lines regarding PHP and it worked like a charm. A very different story with MySQL though, I couldn't get it running. The installer couldn't even install the MySQL.sock and the log files reported massive problems so I gave up for the moment. krrr Posted October 6, 2005 Share Posted October 6, 2005 humm. i need to look into MAMP. but seeeing how it doesnt run for xfiles is discouraging. i am a linux person and dont know apple. so be soft on me. i want mysql compile guide with this osx86 workstation now.
