I have a successful install of 10.4.3 patched with Wesley patch on my Dell desktop but I was wondering if I should use the Jas patch version and re-install. My desktop has a P4 3.2 Ghz processor and I have seen some topics recommending the Jas patch. All though there are no major problems the system does crash when I go into the "Networking" options under System Profiler.

Is there a major difference between the patches? Can I somehow *update* my current installation to the jas patch?

I had the same problem (crash when entering Networking). I re-installed today with JaS and that specific problem is gone. But every patch has its own bads I guess, I am not where I want to be with stability yet.
About update, I don't know. But I do know that if you don't have an original (unpatched) version of the 8F1111-ISO you can unpatch and repatch with JaS if you use the original wesley patcher/unpatcher. see http://www.win2osx.n...read.php?t=2738
