I have an external disk attached to Ubuntu 7.1 which then shares the disk over smb, afs (encrypted) and nfs I can see the disk from iMovie08 only through smb Most of the testing that I have done when trying to decide which of the above 3 methods to use to connect to the disk point to smb being the slowest so I want to use nfs if at all possible (afp has some of the issues with trying to keep things in check regarding all the hidden files and metadata files when modifying things from multiple OS (linux, for example) ) I entered a plea for help in the apple discussion forum for iMovie, but not sure that forum has sufficient technical attention so I am trying here now. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1301430 Thanks in advance.
