Allenshazar Posted December 12, 2007 Share Posted December 12, 2007 In the 10.4.8 guide for dual boot vista and osx im at the step where it says after you've finished installing the OS should boot up. The problem is it doesn't boot up, instead it says its going to restart and I cant cancel it and after a little bit theres a countdown till it restarts which means that I cant apply the repair permission step and use the update either and I think thats why I cant get the osx to boot up. However reading as the osx is installing I see something that says "after install is finished press f* and then type -v -s and then type ./patch10.4.8.amd.cpuid.txt I tried pressing f and f* at same time, even the f-keys but nothing worked.
