OSXtotheZ
if your running a standard monitor resolution ie not widescreen there is a hack that will fix this. It involves editing the com.apple.Boot.plist and hard coding a fixed resolution 1280 x 1024 thats the highest you can go. Sorry I can't remember all the details but I found the guide on this forum. I think you may need to replace or edit the frambuffer.kext too. Since I planned on going widescreen at somepoint I just grabbed a $35 nvidia card off ebay. vakakush
after installing this kext the artifacts/mouse tearing problem is gone but mouse cursor blinks when i move it over the dock. AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext v 1.5.16 AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext.zip i have also tried to update this same kext by extracting it from the 10.5.1 update here is the kext AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext v 1.5.18 AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext.zip i don't know why even after installing this kext it is not listed in EXTENSIONS sometimes this kext appears in the list like this pls help and fix this issue
kowyzg0moo
I don't suggest using the second one. The latter one locked my Leopard installation and now I can't boot. Update: I tried the first one and it also locked up my HP dv6244us. It would stop at the gray screen with the Apple logo and the circle loader would freeze. braveskunk
tried going back to kalyway drivers, but when i restore the GMA950GL and GMA950AV kexts all menus are broke. i suppose, the graphics update changed something more then those drivers, so now i have framebuffer 1.4.20, gma950 kext 1.5.16 and gma950GL&AV kext 1.5.24. and my screensaver randomly refuses to start automaticaly. confused
OzTambo
I am having issues with Screen resolution as well, running 10.5.2 with GMA 950 driver, on an ECS 945 everything works perfectly even sleep but the graphics are stuck at 1024 x 768, the issue is that I loaded a Nv 8600 had issues installed Nv 7600 GS and got the graphics back to where I wanted it 1440 x 800. Everytime I reboot the grahics defualt to 1024 and use onboard VGA card. Then randomly next reboot it will run fine. Very confused... Need idea's
