shll628 Posted December 7, 2007 Share Posted December 7, 2007 I have installed linux ubuntu after windows xp. OS selection works well that I can choose after start up. Then I install tiger on my desktop. I have leaved a disk 30GB named ' mac' ,format ntfs for erase purpose. When i finished erasing this 'mac', another disk suddenly changed to 'mac' as well. I'm afraid that something is wrong so I quit the install of tiger and boot my windows xp again. However, there are two big big problems: 1. I can not select ubuntu this time. It will directly boot xp. Even i press F8, there is no option for ubuntu. 2. I lose data on my disk. A 120GB disk disappear from my computer. Then I check computer administritive, the 120GB disk was left 'unused'. Are my data there? Is there anyway I can recover my data? Thank you very much.
