zoomie
After I updated my Leopard install to 10.5.1, I started having problems with YouTube. Each time I tried to view a video, it would freeze after a couple seconds. The problem existed with all three browsers I have, Firefox, Safari, and Camino. I have a ToH Leopard install with the EFI bootloader. Due to the EFI bootloader, I'm able to run the stock Apple kernel on my system. After I noticed the YouTube problem, I turned to the forums to find a solution. I found this thread which was a year old. It mentioned that it was a sound problem that was interfering with flash videos. So I simply reinstalled the sound driver...in my case, the Azalia Audio package. YouTube is now working as it should. I hope someone finds this suggestion useful. Cheers, Zoomie
