Airport Express Base Station

I just bought an Airport Express Base Station. It works fine out of the box but is not recognized as Airport in Network. I was wanting to run through the 'Assist Me' wizard and set up an Airport connection but the option is grayed out. I'm using an Asus USB WL-167g wireless adapter to connect to the Internet with (through the Airport Express Base Station). How can I get the Airport Express Base Station to be recognized by Leopard?

Edit ---- I forgot to mention that I can't install the software that comes with the Airport Express Base Station on my hackintosh. Leopard tells me it can't be installed on this version of OSX (red X on the drive when trying to install).

Again, connecting is not the issue. I'm already connecting with the base station. But Leopard does not recognize the base station and I can't install the software or setup an Airport network. I need to be able to have my hackintosh recognize the Airport Express so I can get screenshots of the process.

Thanks for any help.

I restarted Leopard with "-f" and my Airport Express is recognized. Then I repaired permissions. Most of the time, after restarting and typing something, I hang up. If I don't hang up, I am able to configure the Airport Express. Then, after reconfiguring, the software restarts AE and ,again, it is no longer recognized. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help.
