thy1225 Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 here's how I installed my Leopard --> convert my IDE DVDROM to usb and install the system from the disk set to "IDE(compatible)" mode in BIOS install the system on WD 250GB SATA HardDrive after installation finished.(and after apply some patches) change the setting in BIOS to "ACHI" mode pull off the usb converter and put my DVDROM back into the case (IDE) then boot in to Leopard but I found Leopard failed to detect my DVDROM what's the problem? It used to work well in Tiger!!! anyone can help??thanks Hi, if u use 965P-DS3 or JMicron chip, edit JMicron.kext and put u ID in info.plist. verify if not exist u ID in another kext like AppleVIAAta.kex, if yes, delete ID from. repair permissions, delete caches end enjoy!
