If somenone could help ... i think many users have a Ricoh Carbus Controller ...

My Laptop :

I've got working pcmcia with ricoh chipset, if you get "startig failed" you need to change iopccard kext, if you get "failed to configure your machine", youe driver is ok but you have to change mem & i/o address space and machine name on iopccard plist.

look for Atheros 5001 in the forum, there is a solution.

Look at this, http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...hl=atheros+5001, make all the steps, then when you obtain "pcmcia failed to configure your machine", you need to dump your io and mem address space from LINUX and put them in iopccard.kext as described here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=29583.

good luck!!

My kext is not for your laptop, you need to change more than 1 kext file, for pcmcia you need to insert in plist file, your machine type as described in About this Mac.

bump!

I have a Ricoh card reader too... but I can't find much info about it on Vista. It's VEN_1180... but in Device manager it's got 4 different controllers (DEV_08xx) for each card type (MMC/SD/xD/MS).

anyone got these working?
