Cyberk007
I installed leopard and i was wondering how i can enable networking, i tried using the IONetworkingFamily.kext i had used in 10.4 but it gave me a bunch of nasty errors and i ended up having to remove it (ya i installed the .kext right). I was wondering where i could get a IONetworkingFamily that works well in 10.5. I looked through the whole 1 page of this forum and couldnt find anything about it so if anyway could help, awsome! annunaki
It all depends on the network card you are using. I have an Intel card that requires the AppleIntel8255x.kext to work. It may work for you. Just google it or search for it in these forums if this fits your needs.
Kykc
Heh.. I have problems with LAN too.. When I was try to boot from Toh Leo RC2 it freezes after mDNSResponder. OK, I disable my onboard LAN (RTL8139) After that I was able to install Leo, but it boots only if LAN is still disabled.. Now it freezes after detecting LAN physical adress (MAC) Also I have tried to use PCI Lan card (It was RTL8139 too), disabling onboard LAN and faced another problem. Leo boots, and in network settings I see that card is detected, but IP adress is not assigned (It must be assigned by DHCP in my case) When I try to make some config changes Leo hangs up just after I click 'Apply'... Any suggestions?
