Whenever I try to do it, it messes up the whole thing by taking out important case sensitivity and punctuation in most of the files. Is there a way to do it so that doesn't happen? The only thing I can think of to do instead of renaming everything is to copy the apps from a real Mac and then replace, for example, iTunes.app/Contents/Mac OS/iTunes with that file from the applications.tar leak. That way you would only have to rename one file for each app. Of course it doesn't matter anyway since we don't even have the GUI that far yet, but still.

It's a bad archive.  Perhaps someone will release a script that fixes it.
