werD420 Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 Ive got an amd system running 10.4.9 with a dvdrw drive on ide that is only showing up when i boot into safe mode. Is this a common issue? i was about to attempt a leopard install when i finally realized it(i usually just mount images). Ive gone into safe mode and created a sl-dvd patched with leopard, but when i run the install it says it needs to restart to install. If I restart and dont use the safe mode switch, the drive isn't recognized and the install never starts if i use the safe mode switch(-x) it just boots straight to that. i dont get an error or anything the disc just never appears.
