megavolkan Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 As an unfortunate MSI P965 user i tried and i can say that Leo doesn't boot with this board. I tried the newest 'Leopard without DVD (direct to HDD install)' of course it installs (from within Windows) but IT DOES NOT BOOT! Just hangs in the gray apple boot screen, computer crashes. You need a hard reset. Verbose (-v) method doesn't seem to be usefull bcause it crashes just at the very beginning while mentioning about loading some kexts then it hangs, even the cursor doesn't blink. I tried all SATA ports, it's a no go! And now i need a new board, and appriciate a really working mobo suggestion. I have: D820 2.8 CPU, 7600GT 256MB (vesa 3.0 supported), 2gigs of ram, Just need a 965 or up mobo (not 945 or lower) with working onboard sound and network card out of the box. NO J-MICRON, NO J-MICRON, NO J-MICRON, NO J-MICRON!!!!!!!!!! Really appriciate suggestions for a working board. Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ok, Kalyway - don't work (won't boot) iAtkos - Same story Leo4all - Same story iDeneb - Yeah!!!! It works, choose in installation for all the chipset drivers, and all the kernels. I just updated to SnowLeopard. Runnig x64 mode. Installation was pretty easy with this video tutorial. I have a working copy of all kexts used. I always use Mac, but i can't install it to this {censored} MOTHERBOARD..... Anyone can explain me, in few steps how to get that {censored} on? Pls help... PS: Sry 4 my bad english... JakubM Posted February 13, 2010 Share Posted February 13, 2010 I was fixed this problem at all... Just use iATKOS v7, boot with ONLY -v flag (verbose), and follow the installation. Select Voodoo 9.7.0 Kernel, Your VGA card kexts, and (Important!) Intel SATA/IDE kext. Other all needed kexts are auto-selected, DON'T TOUCH THEM! All drives MUST BE SATA !
