Okay they are just preparing the Update Server looks like. My software update has been working the past 2 days and earlier today. Don't worry they are just getting things ready. Remember Leopard is already out in Japan and other countries that part of the world.

seems bizarre that Apple haven't got their update servers up and running before selling their new OS. I also can't open Mail... anyone else have the same problem?actually no applications seem to open, iCal, address book, I take it this is related to the fact I can download software updates

I upgraded this morning and am getting the " file “index-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog” couldn’t be found on the server “swscan.apple.com”." error when run the software update application. All other applications seem to be working fine. My big problem is that my external hard drive connected to my airport extreme base station has been lost and I cant get back.

Any ideas????

Was doing fine with Leopard (previous build on an iMac G4 700 mhz), but this morning I couldn't connect to my server to do maintenance on my website. Says that servers must start with http://, etc., etc.. The server address is correct and starts with http://www. Won't recognize it. 10.5 began using more cpu, and slowing down over the last two days. Should I reinstall. I added iLife '08 - to my external drive however, but I wonder if that's what is causing it. I upgraded my website with the iLife '08 version of iWeb. My iPhoto 7 will not open, however my iPhoto files are intact and can be seen in the media browser in iWeb 2.

Could this just be some temporary issue with the Apple server? Or should I just reinstall 10.4?
