What it can do:

-Run on INTEL SSE2 and SSE3 machines

-It might upgrade OS X Tiger X86 to Leo X86

-It has support for NoNX/NoHPET/etc

-The kernel can work on AMD machines

-It has all the languages and printer drivers

What it doesn't do:

-It's not yet ready for AMD machines, because of missing decrypts

-It doesn't have all the patches you used to find on the old OSX86 DVDs

Woah, but wtf about amd isnt ready and checked as ready feat?

anyway... available at place where the stones were broken ;)

I think SSE2 support only requires a few chagned files (if it isn't just the kernel). Hopefully a patch will be out for the retail dvd.

The patch for the retail DVD has been out for almost a week now... you can read more about it at http://forum.osx86scene.com There is even how-to guides on how to patch your dvd's and where to get the kernel and modified kexts and whatnot.

YA!!!!

The ToH release is working like a charm - for those of you who are getting the boot issue after installing - this worked for me.

How to correctly apply script.sh patch:

Boot from DVD, pick language and on next screen choose Utilities ---> Disk Utility. Click on your Leopard partition (and remember its LABEL!!) and click UNMOUNT. Now close Disk Utility and choose Terminal from Utilities. Navigate to the misc. dir:

cd /

cd /usr/misc

then apply the patch like this:

./script.sh YOURLEOPARTITIONLABEL

ie: if you called your drive Leopard - then do this

./script.sh Leopard

Mine scrolled by and threw a bunch of error 35's, I ran the script twice to be sure - and yep, sure enough it boots into leopard now without the dvd.

Details are in my sig on hardware, the script usage info is from blackmh

cheers,

One

Now all I need is an azalia audio driver, and nvinject kexts and I'm running

UPDATE

Sweet: All I needed was NVINJECT for Leo (Thanks Mac.Nub) and the Azalia Audio Package :thumbsup_anim:

Independant resolutions are working brilliantly - 1680x1050 to my 22" acer and 1280x768 to my projector :thumbsup_anim:

happy happy joy joy
