I have uphuck 1.4.i.r3 installed on an external hard drive on an acer aspire 5601Awlmi (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.8/Portables#Aspire_5601AWLMi). As soundcard I use an Edirol UA-20. I install the soundcard drivers and everything goes well, including the system performing faster. The problem comes when I edit ATIx1300.kext to enable Quartz Extreme. Quartz Extreme gets enabled but the sounds starts clicking and popping. I tried to change the instalation order, but it happens the same. The only choice I have is to either have the sound or the grafics. Any suggestions?
