Triplany Posted September 19, 2007 Share Posted September 19, 2007 Just wondering how I would go about patching this release to work with the jmicron and Asus p5k-e . If I have the kexts can I just put them in the extensions on the image and burn a new copy or is there more to it (never attempted patching an install iso before) Tripz ---- UPDATE 1 ---- Made a new Extensions.mkext, Copied to DVD image, burnt and booted. Installation was a success!! Reboot, starts to go (get the apple ) and then nothing. Expected it so I reboot and copy the kexts I need onto the new image. check permissions reboot. Still same problem. I can not choose any boot options so I can not do a -v anyone know why this darwin just starts booting the OS right away? any ideas on getting verbose mode? ---- UPDATE 2 ---- Ok got verbose going . The problem is in the AppleAHCIPort.kext I copied over appears to not be compatible. ---- UPDATE 3 ---- Got it going! had to copy some kexts from 10.4.9 to get it to go (don't have there names in front of me) Sata works in AHCI mode IDE does not work (can't see the drives on it) Sound worked on the first boot but not after importing my settings from my other install Photoshop crashes, Final Cut works Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
