Install VMWare Fusion on Hackintosh Drive to Boot Vista Drive

I am trying to install VMWare Fusion on a Hackintosh (10.4.10/8.10.1/Intel).

With the intention to boot Vista on a different hard drive.

Am I going down a beaten dead-end?

Attempt 1: Installed VMWare Fusion from image... Grey Multi-language Restart - Kernel Panic. :(

Attempt 2: Installed VMWare Fusion using Pacifist... Worked. Sorta. It saw "Boot Camp Partition". However, will not let me put in a legit 30-day serial to even boot up "Boot Camp Partition". :(

Anyone get this to work? :D

hey! same thing here! using osx86/hackintos 10.4.11 with kernel 8.9.1. i cant finish installing fusion 1.1 coz it freezes before it completes.

so i just install it using pacifist. boot camp is detected but i cant enter a valid serial. i think it's because of hackintosh/osx86..

any solution? cant seem to find any info about this.. thanks!

To let you know, Parallels WILL mess up your windows system, that then makes it unable to boot (might have been becuase I quit because it replaces some files). Last time I checked, I had no problem installing paralles. I didn't like it and got rid of it within ten minutes.

I had no problems running XP Physical Disk and neither Vista with fusion, even on my AMD hackintosh, I know Fusion is a {censored} withs ome on the installation or the serial number issues.

The only issue I found is that the mouse need replace of drivers because it conflicts with each other (Fusion/Parallels
