HDClown
Bridged or NAT networking. I can ping the IP of my VMware host machine, but not the default gateway on the network or out to the internet. Any ideas? Running on Vista and the firewall is turned off. Using JaS 10.4.8. ~pcwiz
Hey HDClown, Nice seeing you around the forums. Anyway, have you tried adding this line to the VMX config file: ethernet0.virtualDev="e1000" I'm almost 100% sure you've already tried this but just checking... hacking_gladiator
problem Solved. by default MAC address is 00:00:00:00:00:00 change it to something like 1a:24:4c:6a:62:22 command to change MAC address (type is Teminal(Applications-Utilities-Terminal)): sudo ifconfig en0 (your ethernet en0 or en1 or en2 or en3) ether 1a:24:4c:6a:62:22 next connect to network (disconnect and connect) that's it! Now i can ping my Router i can browse internet.........
~pcwiz
Good job solving that. Lots of people have to manually configure it in VMware like you had to but for others like me, just adding that line to the config file fixes it.
