I've tried in 10.4.8/10.4.9 the Natit installer and it just kernel panic

Now with 10.4.10 I haven't tried the installer since I'm scared for another Kernel Panic and lose all my stuff.

Is there any safe way 100% that I can get Titan removed and Natit installed?

err.. just delete titan.kext and replace with natit.kext, fix up permissions and you are good to go.

A kernel panic won't make you loose your "stuff" it just crashes the computer. You can always do a single user boot with "-s" and delete the offending kext.

Thanks but how do I know the offending kext ?

Because I've ran the Natit installer and it always gives me kernel panics ..

On my last 10.4.10 install I booted as -s, mount , and removed Titan.kext, mkext and kextcache as I was told on the irc.

I rebooted and I couldn't go into gui.

I reinstalled 10.4.9 and didnt select the NV40 and I ran the Natit installer for 10.4.9 and kernel panic again.

So I'm really lost here, I reinstalled 10.4.10 again and select NV40 just to have proper resolution

ok, if you don't mind doing a clean install - just do a vanilla install, leave all the kexts as they are and then try natit, if natit doesn't work use NVidiaEFI.kext, or NVinject.kext

I personally don't like using the installers, just copy the kexts over manually then do the usual tidy up.

well I did the following.. I d/l'ed the Natit v0.02 dual.zip,

I opened the kext and edit IOPCIMatch to 0x209510de and to Geforce.kext

mv Natit.kext * to /System/Library/Extensions/

rm -R /System/Library/Extentions/Titan*

chmod -R 755 *

chown -R root:wheel *

Rebooted and its not going into gui. Its giving me please restart this mac and when I type -v

this is what I get.

I also mv Natit.kext to /System and same

I mv it back to Extensions and changed 0x209510de in both files just to 0x2095

Nothing

I have changed the IOPCIMATCH id to 0x029510de in all these files but still.

Natit.kext, GeForce.kext, NVDAResman.kext, and NVDANV40Hal.kext
