Hi,

I had this system running very smooth using video on board:

CPU:Intel C2d 6300

Mother: Asrock 945-Dvi-connected to only one monitor: Dell 2405 via DVI.

I'd like to include one more monitor to the setup so I bought an Asus 7300GT and connected the Dell 24" to the DVI and a CTR 17" to the VGA port on the 7300. Installed Natit 02 downloaded fron Diabolik's web page, in a completely new and fresh instalation without any other video drivers.

Now this is what happens:

If I connect ONLY the Dell via DVI: OK-1920x1200x60. Exelente picture QE+CI.

When I also connect the CTR to the VGA port, nothing get detectet, even pressing "detect displays".

On reboot: First I get the Grey screen with the apple logo on both monitors but then It detects only the CTR and boots to it.I get the regular desktop on the VGA and the DVI is black. Not activity.

If I connect the Dell via DVI to VGA adaptor: I get dual head plus diferent resolutions, etc, BUT the video quality via VGA is awfull. Nothing like the razor sharp and nice DVI.

Any thoughts? Have someone got DVI AND VGA running with a 7300 and Natit?

thanks

Ric

Thanks again. I did it but still the same problem. I'm decided to get both displays working so I ask: Changing Video cards or different OS instalation DVD would work?

Right now I have:

1-OS 10.4.8 Jaz Intel/AMD. This one gives me kernel 8.8.1. Clean install. No video drivvers cheked. No upgrades to 10.4.9 or 10.

2-Asus 7300GT silent

Please, If you can, suggest any change to my setup and I'll try it: new card, os, may be another monitor?

As it is, is of no use to me.

thanks!

Tks for the suggestion.

I have Natit 02 installed. Do I need to uninstall it in order to try NVinject?

If that's true, what would be the right procedure to do it?

The Macvidia site is down since yesterday...

tks

Tks for your input.

I went to the forums and discovered that there's a guy that have 2 Nvidia cards running for a total of 4 displays. That's what I need for my new hack (Q6600+Asrock 4core1333-sata2+4 monitors).

If it's possible, it would be a great workstation.

yep, it looks like a nice setup.

unfortunately, my desktop is not big enough to fit 4 20" displays (and more important, my bank account is too low, and I only have 2 eyes :( )

He's the only one AFAIK running 4 displays like this on hackintosh, but at least, it proves it can work on some rigs...

I sent that guy a mail asking if he was using pure DVI to connect the monitors or pure VGA or a combination.

I've got no answer yet.

The real problem seems to be the combination of DVI+VGA. I got VGA+VGA without any problems, but as soon as I connect DVI+VGA the OS boots to the VGA and seems to ignore the DVI monitor (do not appear at all in "abot this mac".

I'd like to hear from people that have DVI+VGA to compare their systems and OS version and extrat a solution.

cheers

Ric
