since I do like the G4 style, where you open up the side, and the motherboard lays flat,

and don't have to unscrew, and disconnect bunch of stuff just to have access,....

do like this kind of design,...

any other cases like that ? what you think?

other than that, new lian pc-b25a

for a quiet computer,...

I have this case, and I like it; in stock configuration the cooling is great, but fans are pretty noisy.

Interesting that the review you link to says:

Quote The Pininfarina has no front I/O and the power and reset buttons, along with two LEDs, are above the door, where the bezel bends into the case's top panel.

End Quote

<http://www.mvktech.net/content/view/3292/39/> correctly shows the front I/O.

did you change the fans yet ?

think it's a 140mm in front,

so your power supply must be the noisy part ?

No....sleep works for me in 10.4.10, so I've been living with the noise. I think it is the three case fans that make the bulk of the noise. What I've done before on a similar case is to add two or three 1N4001 (or similar) silicon power diodes in the + fan lead (solder & shrink-wrap) to drop the 12 volts to around 10 volts...I've found that reduces the noise a lot, without cutting the airflow too drastically. I haven't done it yet because a) it WORKS great now, and the temperature monitoring in OSX doesn't show the CPU...so it will be a difficult to guage the impact of slowing the fans down, :P I've been sorting out dual boot (Vista & OSX) on my new HP DV9230Us laptop, and c)I'm lazy.
