realfolkblues
parallels vs vmware fusion witch is better? and why?
wingk1314
there has been many previous threads about this. you should look around or search. to put it simply though, VMware is gaining more users because it's easier on the system and has less "issues" with stability. however parallels still has some good features that vmware don't provide. (and vise-versa) all comes down to personal preference. you should just try out both before you buy.
kchase
vmware is definately faster. i also like unity mode when using vista as it doesnt add the whole task bar, just the start circle. BUT, parallels is way more polished in terms of install/setup/interface... it really comes down to what you like
skyhighmac
vmware. I've used they're stuff for 3 years and it is rock-solid!
M_DoG
Parallels interface is better. IMO Unity mode is ugly compared to Coherence. Unity loads the start circle and sidebar. I couldn't find a way to disable it? Like I could in Parallels. As far as usability I would have to go with Fusion. When running fusion my Macbook doesn't seem to get as hot.
