It wasn't a direct link to a torrent and I didn't know that linking to a torrent site is forbidden either. It won't happen again, promised :-) I hope that this is allowed: There is a thread on Demonoid with the title "Adobe Suite CS3 Hackintosh Fix". It containsa torrent-link to a modified AppleSMBIOS.kext and the following text: First of all you'll need a new AppleSMBIOS.kext, I attached my version which works pretty well As a first step you'll have to copy the File AppleSMBIOS.kext into /System/Library/Extensions/ he will tell you that the file can't be modified so you'll have to identifiy as a root user. On the question if you want to replace the old file with a never one you click on YES. after that you'll have to execute the following commands in the shell as a root user. just switch to root user with su or just execute every command with sudo in front. If you wana set your root password you can use : sudo passwd root then type your users password and after that type your new root password. Commands to Execute in Shell chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleSMBIOS.kext chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/AppleSMBIOS.kext rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext After that you'll have to reboot your hackintosh and all youre cs3 applications should run fine. SMF Posted October 3, 2007 Share Posted October 3, 2007 Can you post the JAS AppleSMBIOS.kext somewhere or tell me how to get it off the JAS install DVD. I had no success trying to find it on the DVD. Well I figured out how to get it off the DVD - installed it with the kext helper, repaired permissions but CS3 still crashes. About this Mac and System Profiler seem to have a few glitches but I like seeing my hardware reported in profiler as well as my correct CPU speed in About this Mac. But when i press f8 at the darwin boot screen and type -f i can log on. But i dont understand how to get the applesmbios.kext to work with pressing typing -f at the darwin boot screen.
