Jonzo99
Hello: I'm trying to get to the install process with VMWare 6 Workstation, and PowerISO. Okay I mounted the OSX86 install ISO to Drive H: in PowerISO and confirmed it worked by going to Drive H. I went through the instructions from another thread on here, changed the CD DRIVE to point to my H drive, etc. Whenever I start my Virtual Machine it starts to load the BIOS and comes up with the error: "You do not appear to have a valid CDROM device. Try enabling Legacy mode" Okay, so I enabled Legacy Mode, and it doesn't give that error. But when I choose CDROM out of the boot menu, it just says "Operating System Not Found". I tried 2 different ISOs of OSX86 that I have. Any advice?
codermonkey
I found that powerISO does not work, download a trial of alcohol 120% and mount using that and do not use legacy.
forkart
You can also try using magiciso to mount iso file as virtual cd/dvd. It works fine. http://www.magiciso.com/
~pcwiz
Another program that is easier if you have the Nero 7 Suite: Nero ImageDrive You can also try Virtual Clone Drive, that works.
