Javierdihu Posted August 1, 2007 Share Posted August 1, 2007 hi guys, I recently installed os x86 10.4.9 using uphuck's 1.3 release. I installed it trough vmware 6 using this guide which worked flawlessly until i had to reboot my virtual machine because everytime it tries to boot (in normal, -v and -v -x mode) I get a "still waiting for root device" message. This also happens when i try to boot up my pc directly from the HDD in which i installed osx, which is a 40gb maxtor IDE drive. my specs are: ASUS A8N-E w/ nforce 4 ultra AMD Athlon 64 Venice 3200+ Corsair Value Select 512mb ram Sapphire x800GTO 128mb Maxtor IDE drive Western Digital 250gb SATAII drive (windows xp boots from here) Sony DRU-800a dvd-rw thats a screenshot i took from VMware when trying to boot.
