fGsltw Posted July 13, 2007 Share Posted July 13, 2007 hello i have been trying to install and run mac on my sony laptop it installs but no wifi no sound and other stuff so i JUMPED into a G3 600mhz 256mb laptop off of ebay it has os 9.2 on it and would like to upgrade to 10.4.6 it has a ppc chip any help would be great i like the mac very much just wanting to play with this before I make the big purchas SOMEDAY thank you for you help Jim Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There is a good Tiger Install CD, its only one CD ~435mb, you know where to search, this little di:mon, if the seeder comes back, im stuck @ 340mb . Only Combo update is needed for that. You definitely want to make sure that you get some additional RAM, however that really isn't that bad of a deal anyways. Personally, I am not sure that I could live without Spotlight, or some other kind of real-time search tool. Yes, I know that Beagle was first, and I do use it daily on every single Linux box I have. Given that we are talking about Macs, I figured that I would provide some justification as I really am not all that into getting flamed for stating a personal preference.
