PowerMac G4 Cube?

Hey guys I'm thinking of buying a G4 Cube, simply because I like the design. It would only be for daily tasks, such as checking email, listening to music, and chatting with friends. I might get into some light work in the GIMP but nothing too intensive. Now I know they can be upgraded from their original specs, but I was wonder how good they can get and how easy this is, and if there's anywhere I can buy hardware for it that I know will work. I know how to take a computer apart and rebuild it, and I've built a couple PCs, so while I'm not A+ certified or anything, I don't lost inside a computer either. I think the general consensus is that it's upgradable to a 1.6 GHz processor and 1.5GB RAM? That'd be certainly enough for this computer. I was also wondering if they support 1440x900 resolution with their built in video drivers. Can they go larger, and if so, how big? I don't expect them to run the 30" Cinema Display (Though that'd be nice) but I want it to work with the screen I have now. And what about dual monitor? I've seen shots with a VGA port and a DVI port, is this normal, or an upgrade? And also, I know OS X 10.5 isn't compatible with all PowerPC processors, will it work with a G4? One more thing, what's the L2 cache on a G4? I think that's it for questions.. Thanks for answers guys!

Edit: Though of one more, what type of hard drive does it use? Was Apple using SATA way back when or what?
