josiejo
I'm new to Macs - bought a second hand Mac Mini (pre-intel) from a friend and LOVE it but am still getting to grips with it. The last couple of days I've noticed the audio is, well, {censored}. I think it was fine before as I didn't notice it. It sounds like when you have the radio almost tuned to a channel but not quite - it's mainly fine but every few seconds it has a little 'blip' of fuzziness like bad radio quality. I don't know if that makes sense... My set up is this - My stereo is plugged into the headphone socket of the Mini, so the sound is going through my main speakers. I thought the problem was with my speakers, but it remains if I unplug the stereo and let the sound go through the Mini itself. It happens in iTunes, Quicktime and internet play (ie Myspace). I can't see anything on my audio settings that could be causing it... Any ideas? It's REALLY annoying me.
