oscarzhe
My Mac OS X 10.4.9 now works sudden slow after some time, the menu display, minisize animation become suddenly extremely slow, iTunes music piaying becomes very influent and terrible. THE SYSTEM CLOCK SLOWED DOWN ,TOO. If this happened, only reboot can temporally solve the problem. mac os x 10.4.9 with kernel 8.9.1; ATI mobility radeon 7500 32M with Quartz 2D Extreme/ Quartz Extreme enabled; Intel Centrino 1.6G CPU; 1.5G DDR ram disk permission is ok. What's the problem and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

oscarzhe
Thanks, Rzk. It is the same condition under a "clean" system without any other applications installed... I tried to add a argument "FSB=100" to the kernel ,but it doesn't work. the results from top command is normal. Maybe a FSB auto detection kernel could fix it? where can i download such a 8.9.1 kernel?
e-rick
Sounds familiar.... If I recall correctly it had something to do with appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext.... try removing it...
oscarzhe
I have deleted the file named appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext ,but it is still the same. My thinkpad was very hot when Mac OS X was running, Can overheat cause that problem?
