helios
It seems like the long wait soon will be over. uTorrent is currently being tested on OS X and here is a link to some more info and screenshots: Link

rogabean
This is pretty exciting news. I too thought they had decided to abandon this. I use Azuerus right now, but find myself falling back on uTorrent under Fusion a lot of the times.
Technobob
I just bought a new computer and it's not ready yet to run OSX so I have been using Vista (YUK!!!) for the past week and I have been using uTorrent. I forgot how much I loved that program and thought I will miss it once again when I go back to OSX so this is great news.
Headrush69
If this had happened sooner I might have been happier, but since the last few SVN versions of Transmission added Selective Downloading support, its not such a big deal for me and Azureus was ditched also. Â I'm interested to see if the reported download speeds are as fast as some people indicate compared to the other clients. Â Edit: Added bold type since people still don't know as evidenced by next few posts!
Hagar
In the meantime, uTorrent runs nicely in crossover/DarWine or Parallels/VMWare

Guest Ramm
I hate uTorrent. I prefer Azureus (already for mac) or Transmission (only for mac).

erbic
Heh. HTTP = standard Internet downloads. Like direct download from a web site. Â Anybody got a link (or vague, unclear reference I could puzzle out) to where we might be able to get a hold of the beta? I heard they were talking about it on the pink palace, but the thread/post got deleted.
Prawker
i still dont trust uTorrent, not now that they are in the hands of Bittorrent.
apowerr
Transmission is perfect for me except that you cant select specific files like you can in uTorrent. So I guess soon I will be using uTorrent on my Mac
EFI
This is great news indeed. I really miss uTorrent. I use Transmission....but still frequently use uTorrent under Windows. I ditched Azureus altogether long time ago.
-aKy-
when a version of Transmission comes out that lets me select only the files i want then i'll stick with Transmission i think, it just looks great and is easy to handle.

cavillor
Hallelujah. The only decent torrent clients currently on OS X are Azureus (so slow and hoggish that I can't stand it), BitRocket (which has been out of development for two years), and Transmission (which, now that it supports selective downloading, may actually be worth something). On Windows, I love uTorrent. For a while, I was tempted to go back just for uTorrent and Alcohol 120%.
