Trying to install OSx86 on a Pavilion dv1000

Today I'm attempting to install OS X on a HP Pavilion dv1000 - 1.8ish-some Core Solo, 512 ram, and w/e graphics chip came w/ it - I'm guessing a GMA950.

Anyways - the installation goes through smoothly, no errors or any other problems, but after the installation, when I try booting, I just get a blank black screen w/ the flashing "_".

Interesting thing is, few month ago, I installed OS X on this machine - after which I reinstalled Windows again, but that's not important - what is, is that the last time it worked perfectly, right after the installation, everything worked, except the audio, but w/e - it still worked great. Note that I'm installing it from the exact same disk that I did last time, so nothing changed.

So this time... don't have a clue - please advise.

I have a dv1000 that I've also had NO PROBLEM with the actual install.

However, the loading screen comes up for OSX when I turn it on, and even the art is moving in a circle as it should (indicating it's loading). Then some music starts playing, and it just freezes. I can still turn the volume up and down on the laptop and hear the little chirps...but it just is stuck at that loading screen, and the art eventually stops moving too...anyone have any ideas?

Hi all, I'm trying the same distro as below on my HP DV1150us and I keep getting stuck at the first apple logo screen with the spinnie thingie for about 20 minutes and then the spinnie thingie stops spinning and I'm locked up. I'll try again in verbose mode to see if there's anything weird there but any help would be appreciated :)
