Final Cut Studio 2 working on Hackintosh

Hi ppl, i used the installer found on torrents.

used the ProKit.framework from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...l=final+cut+pro

the directory has changed to:

/system/library/privateframeworks,

it used to be: /Library/Application support/ProApps/

Well, it still doesn't work for me, after reading all these instructions.

I installed a uphuck v1.3 DVD with 10.4.9 and ss3 speedstep kernel, kernel 3 if I remember correctly.

FCP2 loads, opens the windows but then crashes upon initialisation of the user interface.

There is a large error.log with the following error message:

Exception: EXC_BAD_ADDRESS (0x0001)

Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x000000FC

I suspect this is a kernel error.

So I will try some of the other SSE3 kernels from the Uphuck.

It works fine with my setup and I'm using it almost everyday now. I actually think it runs faster than on my Mac Pro. I use the OSX86 (dual boot with XP) because it gives me better access to my pc drives (NTFS-3G) and I still use my Windows software as primary. BTW, have you checked your ethernet connection in system profiler? Does it show en0 first in the display? That was my only real hurdle to overcome when initially setting this up on my Hackintosh.

Hey, I got that same error when launching iMovie 08. Then after a day iMovie began working just fine. Is it because of the AMD processor or what?

Everytime I try to install Final Cut Studio it tells me I don't have Quartz Enhancement (or something like that) enables, is this the same as QE and CI?

what do you guys do, burn it on daul layer dvds? i can only find ones that basically have files bigger than 4gbs.

I'm working in Real-time, transcoding faster than real-time ( that means 1080p to 1080p transcode : after you edit ready to export HIres) I'm syncing DAT to 1080p, then pushing faster than real-time to get my Master Set of clips. To Start cutting Scenes

M-box w/ Pro Tools 7.0

After this job I'm dropping a QUAD core Duo in this beast, but I need a new Mobo... that supports Quad

The only thing not legit on this machine is the OS!! I am much happier not on mac hardware! I got FCP2 and a Computer for the price of a Mac Pro w/ 1 GB of RAM and video 7300GT

Mate,

I removed qmater.framework and if i run fcp my whole system crashes and says please hold down the power button to restart.. is there any way to run fcp ?.

my FCP was working finely on my Kalyway 10.5.1. i updated my system to 10.5.3, now my FCP wont run. it says that i have a 0mb video memory. help would be greatly appreciated... im using a Geforce 7200GS on Core2Duo and Gigabyte mobo. thanks

Thank m8 this worked for me. FC was crashing every time after trying to locate the external device. Now after deleting Qmaster.framwork Final Cut can start up.
