adios Posted October 18, 2007 Share Posted October 18, 2007 I have a Intel 3.0 Ghz on intel 915glvga chipset 1gb ram sata1 160 Gb hdd Nvidia 7100gs 256 Mb samsung dvd-combo drive I tried installing the v1.3 dvd, I burnt the dvd using power iso on vista I formatted my second drive using partition magic I couldnt install osx at first due to the error waiting for oot device, then I put my dvd drive on master, then It worked It took to long for the GUI to start, I selected packages, not sure if they were correct I installed it sucessfully on reboot it says: use keys to select start up volume: hd (0,1) windows NTFS hd (0,5) MAC OS X hd (0,6) that 70's show hd (0,7) Muzic hd (0,8) softwares hd (0,9) Movies Press enter to start up darwin/x86 with no options, or you can: type -v and press enter to start up with diagnostatic messages type ? and press enter to learn about advanced startup options boot: when I press enter , the screen blinks and the same screen appears again. can anybody help please plaese help.... Followed all the steps and didnt encounter any problems at all. Untill i restarted the computer and attemted to start Mac OS X. It gets me to the "select startup disk" and when i select the partition i installed the mac os on it flashes something really quick and gets me right back to "select startup disk". Commands like -x wont work, i tried everything. I have no problem booting Vista. I have an Intel dual core2 1.5 Ghz (supports SSE2, SSE3) with Vista. 2 gb ram 200 gb HDD Can anyone please help. Installed uphuk 2 days ago. after some difficulties is was able to get a clean install. now I tried dual bootuing, but uphuk wouldn't start at last. so i tried installing uphuk all over again as a single os on a harddrive. and now im stuck at der darwin bootloader. i can choose the uphuk mac os and press enter but nothing happens. used the search engine but didn't find anything. config in signature any suggestions? regards Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dead Snake Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 I'm installing it on my GA 965p DS3 E6300 PX6800GS seagate SATA with this settings intel 10.4.9 SSE3-2 no patches driver: ich-8,jmicron,viasata/ata,azalia but it can't reach the login window... the error is different from time to time....but usually about some PCI IDE device.... where did I go wrong? Fortran Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 OK, i downloaded and installed this succesfully on a custom pc with the following specs P4 2.66 Ghz ECS (P4M800PRO-M) eVga 6200 (agp) 1gb RAM ... and blah blah ... the usual Everything (including USB) were fully functional i updated the Via LAN and Audio kexts ( got the stereo fix ) but as soon as i loaded the Punk92 nvidia drivers, the system froze and crashed, ..... i erased the HD completely ... and started over again .... (this time i WAS going to load either Diabolik or Titan) but the drive wont boot the OS anymore .... (only OSX is installed in this drive, no partitions) so i figured it was probably a missing boot flag since all i got is the blinking cursor ... i started up with Gparted, but what do i see ... a Fat32 (200 MB) partition -boot (flag) an HFS+ (38 GB) partition (no flag) and a third unformated partition at the end of the disk .... (no flag) how in did the drive got partitioned like that if on disk utility i remember setting a MacOS Journaled+ (GUID) partition which would set the drive with only 1 partition and boot from that one ... what am i doing wrong ??? Im thinking to maybe set it to MBR instead of GUID .... but i ran out of ideas ... any help is greatly appreciated PS.forgot to mention .... i also tried the kalyway release (10.5.1) had a succesful install, but got stuck at the same blinking cursor with the same 3 disk partitions Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have been trying to install MAC OS X 10.4.9 and everything goes well until after the reboot. I pick the OS to boot to and then all the code scroll up my screen than another window comes up with more information and it hangs. I am attaching what that window is telling me.
