so with the huge gas prices today what kind of gas do you put into your car? and do you own a hybrid?

is it true that if you put premium in your car you will have a higher mpg?

i would get a god damn hybrid, but whats with car companies and making hybrids look crappy. They try to give them this weird ugly look that no one likes. Although, the new lexus hybrids and some ford hrybrids look nice. But whats with honda and toyota?

Btw, i put regular in my car.

We now have phased out petrols in favour of diesel because it's much more efficient. We can't use LPG because we go under the channel by the train and thet've banned any LPG vehicles. We've found that Shell Optimax that's a premium fuel does improve efficiency slightly because of the refinement levels.

Speaking of the Toyota Prius, Jeremy Clarkson drove one in America and he hated it, he may be used to Bughatti Veyrons and other cars but he said that was truly awful, so he got someone to shoot one up...

Proprietary additive formulas.... not octane ratings which "regular," "plus," and "premium" are defined by.

we are going to trade our current toyota in for a prius when gas in our area goes 3.70. we are also going to trade in our jeep wrangler for a hybrid one if they ever make one

a prius is so horrible tho... it only has 76 horsepower and the wheels look like they were stolen off a golf cart :P

i would get a honda if i were you cause even their non hybrid models get pretty good mpg

and i dont think they will make a hybrid wrangler since those are designed for offroading/modification

I wish I would have waited to get a diesel Grand Cherokee instead of the gas version I got (2006 version diesel wasn't available that year). I could produce and run on bio-diesel then and just run off of that. Unfortunately I couldn't wait for a new jeep as the old was literally going to die on me on the road. Oh well, next time I need a jeep I'm hoping they will have a hybrid available otherwise it'll be a diesel running on bio-diesel.

I put Unleaded Plus in My truck, Hey it runs good on it (Yes, I have a hand-me-down truck from my dad, Chevy '98 Limited and I don't own a Hybrid) And We don't Have Biodiesel and the other alternatives where I live. All We Have is All the Unleaded Types and Diesel, Thats it :o

I use 93 octane, sometimes 110 octane and get 6mpg. Yes, that is a 6, as in s-i-x. But instead of the whopping 76 horsepower you get with a prius, I have 505 horses under my hood. Plus, my car looks way cooler then that shoebox of a prius. You can drive around in your puny little POS with that smug look of self satisfaction, but you will never have as much fun as I do smoking the 18" mickey's right off the rims when I blow the doors off some skinny punk in his decked out four-banger Honda thinking has half the car I do. Once you do, all the extra money you spent in gas will suddenly be well worth the price. 1967 Chevelle SS 396 with a 454 big block and Muncie 4-Speed Rock Crusher. There is no replacement for displacement,

I have 3 kids and a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. I used to put regular gas and the car computer would tell me i have 430 km till empty but at 370-390 km on the trip computer i would need to refuel. Now i tried premium gas, computer shows 590 km till empty and i get some 470-500 actual kms. At the sweet price of CDN $80 a full tank. All your gas are belong to...

Regular in a 2004 Toyota Prius(40+mpg). Modded to run on electricity only with a push of a button. I get stuck sometimes when I go home from work, I have to go up a long hill. It'll be going back to Toyota soon, to be replaced with a 2007 Dodge Charger. Yes, with the cool zone thingy.

Always use whatever is recommended by the manufacturer... this will ensure maximum efficiency and no damage to the engine. The engine is optimized and designed for a certain octane rating. Putting a higher octane once in a while to improve mileage/performance/et al. is a myth.
