Well after a few good weeks of hacking and porting mupen64 (a linux n64 emulator), I finally got a nice working port. So, if you have OpenGL working feel free to try it out.

I am currently working on writing a native mac os x FCEU(nes emulator) port. It is almost completed and will soon be posted soon. Also, I ported PCSX(psx emulator) 95% of the way, only thing left to do is write a CD interface plugin. So stay tuned for that.

Oh and one last thing, I fixed a messy endian issue with snes9x. The software renderer now renders the right colors.

Okay, this thread is way way old and my question is going to seem incredibly ignorant. That said,

When I download the emulator the application ends in .dmg.sitx I try and open it and all I see is gibberish. I am new to Macs. I've owned one for about a week and want to get my N64 on.

Help? I'm running on a MacBook and have OS X.

You need Stuffit Expander which is a free download. (Just google it)

Are you ready to get stoked?

Audio HAS BEEN FIXED! No more crackling AUDIO! As long as the core can keep up 50 VI/sec for PAL and 60 VI/sec for NTSC games - your audio should be PERFECT!

Dynarec core has been fixed where it does not crash on rom close!

Intermediate release - before I release the mupen64 plugin arch version, which will be expandible by plugins.

Make sure to go into Audio options are RESET it to defaults

Also make sure you have the dynarec core on if your on x86

Its on a fast host, 10mbit burstable - I expect a quite a bit of downloads for this.

Feed back please, x86 and ppc users. I am curious about the perfromance from G5 users.

G4 (1.0ghz < ) will stutter since its just not fast enough to run the games at the required VI/sec. Perhaps a 1.6ghz/2.0ghz G4 might be fast enough?

I was trying to download this and the link looks to be broken.

Any one know of somewhere else I could get this?
