Well after a few good weeks of hacking and porting mupen64 (a linux n64 emulator), I finally got a nice working port. So, if you have OpenGL working feel free to try it out.

I am currently working on writing a native mac os x FCEU(nes emulator) port. It is almost completed and will soon be posted soon. Also, I ported PCSX(psx emulator) 95% of the way, only thing left to do is write a CD interface plugin. So stay tuned for that.

Oh and one last thing, I fixed a messy endian issue with snes9x. The software renderer now renders the right colors.

i'll thank you in advance!

day to day use of os86x isn't viable unless i can unwind with The Legend of Zelda and etc. call me crazy. :D

Ya I been using megaman 3 and zelda as my test roms. Its been a blast playing them with usb gamepad support. I just need to finish the usb joystick configuration support and it should be ready for distribution.

will your usb joystick support allow configuration of other types of hid devices?

i have an adaptoid for my n64 controller, and some sort of superhappyjoyjoy adapter for Snes Controller etc. in other words, usb adapters for everything.

just to let all of you know sixtyforce will be Uni soon enough

News - May 25, 2006

Progress update: The Intel version of sixtyforce is running basic code, but not enough to emulate a game yet. Just reaching this point is a huge amount of progress! Among other things, I had to learn x86 assembly language just so I could rewrite the core of sixtyforce. This is why it has been taking some time. The Intel version is the top priority for the next release, but rewriting the core has already managed to flush out some very subtle bugs in the PowerPC version. Hurray for cross platform support!

Are you ready to get stoked?

Audio HAS BEEN FIXED! No more crackling AUDIO! As long as the core can keep up 50 VI/sec for PAL and 60 VI/sec for NTSC games - your audio should be PERFECT!

Dynarec core has been fixed where it does not crash on rom close!

Intermediate release - before I release the mupen64 plugin arch version, which will be expandible by plugins.

Make sure to go into Audio options are RESET it to defaults

Also make sure you have the dynarec core on if your on x86

Its on a fast host, 10mbit burstable - I expect a quite a bit of downloads for this.

Feed back please, x86 and ppc users. I am curious about the perfromance from G5 users.

G4 (1.0ghz < ) will stutter since its just not fast enough to run the games at the required VI/sec. Perhaps a 1.6ghz/2.0ghz G4 might be fast enough?
