2eaZy
The Videocard is a ATI Radeon X700. Anyone who has MacOSX running with this card? I tried it with VMware 5.5.4 and VMWare 6.0 Beta. Thank you.
Cheesus
I've tried several ISOs and experiencing the same problem. I have a P4 with 2GB of memory and an ATI Radeon Mobility 9700. I've tried all VMware 6.0 RCs and the final. I was able to install the old "deadmoo" awhile ago and that still "works". I don't understand why my physical video card would matter since VMWare emulates its own, correct? The fact that we can see the language selection indicates to me the video works. Is there a problem using 1.4.8 under a P4? I seem to recall at least one comment in the Wiki indiciating it was fine...

dcook
AFAIK, VMWare can't mount the HFS+ ISOs osx86 uses. Mount the DVD ISO inside something like Daemon Tools, and set VMWare to use that.
tengshj
I do use Daemon, but get same error.
dcook
I do use Daemon, but get same error. Sorry, I was thinking of a different problem related to VMWare. I had this problem with VMWare too, but I can't remember what it was exactly. I never bothered to pursue a solution, other than installing native, which worked just fine. natcom
I had the same problem any the only way to fix it was to burn the ISO at 2x and enable the vmware machine to boot first from the DVD
