freak112
hallo, i am a total newbie concerning macintosh, but after 2 days of experimenting i got mac os x 10.4.8 jAS running on my WinXP, sofar sogood, network is set to "bridged" and i edited the .vmx file. osx tells me that build-in-ethernet is running and connected, dhcp is also running and i get a connection to the hostcomputer. but i can not access the internet, what could that possible be? thanks in advance patrick
wmarsh
Go to System Preferences, Internet Click Configure Set it to assign manual IP address. (I have found DHCP doesn't work in VMware for either OS X or FreeBSD.) You will have to set DNS Servers too.
freak112
thanks but I have already tried that, it makes no difference, because the dhcp assigns the right ip anyway, do i have to do anything on the hostcomputer too? something in the lan-connection vmware makes? thank you
