I have a Dell 9300 Laptop. I've got OS X up and working. Internet is fine, Wireless is poor, but that's not the issue I'm having. My laptop seems to get very very warm. I can run Temperature Monitor, but I only get a reading from my HD not from the Cpu or Gpu. The fans don't kick on on my system and it's starting to worry me that it'll damage the PC! If anyone has any advice please let me know. I've tried searching for AppleACPIThermal.kext but I can't find it.

Computer info

JaS 10.4.8

Ati X300 - 1440x900 Working

1.73 Intel M SSE2

512 Ram

Dell 9300

I found this program, which uses some of the windows i8k code to create a mac version of the program.

I have an inspiron 8600 with a PM 2.0 ghz running 10.4.8 Jas and I can read the cpu temp and control the main fan only.
