Alex Tracy
I was wondering what the difference between the ATI Radeon X1600/128mb graphics card ATI Radeon X1600/256mb graphics card is? cause I don't want to spend so much more money if that difference won't affect the games performance or graphics performance much. Soündless
if you will be running games, get the 256mb version. if you are just going to be doing non graphic intensive stuff, stick with the

Alex Tracy
But if I do that I will be payying $300 more! Is it really worth the wait? For me it will take long to get that amount of money.
Prawker
Lets clarify a bit, what will you be doing most with the iMac? Do you plan to play a lot of games? Or just using the internet and simple stuff like that? If you are going to play a lot of games then yes, its worth the wait to get more money. if your not going to be doing anything graphic heavy, then get the 128 model. Alex Tracy
Yes, I guess the wait would be worth it then. Just gonna work extra hard this summer for some extra cash!
Alessandro17
Another consideration is that a 20" monitor is a lot better than a 17" one. I have just made the move with my hackintosh. Anyway let's hope that Apple upgrades all its graphics cards across the board. IMO the X1600XT isn't grand even with 256mb memory.
GBK.Xscape
go for the refurbished imac. you wont be able to tell the difference between a new and refurbished imac and it will save you at least a couple hundred dollars. thats what i would do if was short on cash, which i am... just waiting till they post a 8-core mac pro on the refurb page........ TvvqKMZ72bsklauw5
I would go with the 20-inch iMac w/ either 128 or 256 MB of memory. It really doesn't make the biggest difference unless you want that extra notch up in gaming. I have an iMac 20" w/ 128 MB and it works just fine. 256 MB is only $75 more so it's not a bad and wasteful thing to get the extra memory. Though, going with a 17" iMac will feel VERY limiting at times compared to my 20". 20" is WORTH the extra money unless you plan on using a larger display for it.
