SnipinTerminator Posted April 7, 2007 Share Posted April 7, 2007 What is this? This guide tells you how to install OSX 10.4.9 on your Intel or AMD Windows machine, dual booting with Vista. Do I need something special to make this work? You need a processor that supports at least SSE2 to make this work. You can check this with a program called CPU-Z (http://cpuid.com/cpuz.php). RyanThaDude29 Posted April 7, 2007 Share Posted April 7, 2007 Guide does work for AMD/SSE3 however a few things need to be done (atleast for me). YMMV 1. Since the tubgirl's update is (presumeably) using the 8.8.1 kernel, had to copy the system.kext from the disabled extensions folder which is for the 8.9.1 kernel. 2. Had to copy the loginwindow.app from 10.4.8. The one from the update crashes like before. 3. Awaiting EHCI USB2 drivers for the new kernel. Current are only for 8.8.1. USB does work but have to unplug and plug back in to function (mouse, keyboard, printer, etc). Other than that system does seem faster. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
