smooth3006
im trying to install mac os x on vmware workstation but instead of using a virutal drive, im using a partition on my internal hard drive. it installs fine, but when i shut down the vmware and try to start up again i get a error message that says the hard drive format has changed and cannot be started ? can you install on a partition or does it have to be on a separate drive by itself ? any help would be appreciated. ryanchandl
u hav to create an unformat partition and set it to AF.U can use Acronis Disk Director Suite 10 to convert the unformat partition to AF (choose ShangOS swap).
madmacthlon
afaik, you must create the partition primary partition.. i do the same thing, doing installation from VMware but, i tried first in the vitual drive and it's doing fine... so i decide to inject osx86 to a real partition. my partition was primary NTFS, so i just erase it to hfs+ from the osx installer after the installation was done, i tried it on vmware and it's definitely NOT WORKING! so i decided to find the problem... after huge searching, i finally solve it. how? just copy the CHAIN0 in the osx installer DVD via windows to C:\ then, edit boot.ini and write a new line C:\CHAIN0 = "Mac OSX86" and set the timeout to 10 it's working fine with my pc... reboot the pc and see it.
