Mutenroy
I just want Parallels to use emule in my hackintosh. I've installed Windows XP in Parallels using the assistant and everything works fine but emule says low id and kademlia firewalled. In OSX I have Netbarrier with no restrictions and in Windows I've deactivated XP firewall and I don't use any antivirus or firewall so I have all my ports open. Parallels network is configured in "shared network" and I have a USB cable modem (no router). Can you help me, please? Thanks
Embio
I think eMule runs in Wine, which would be better for you.
LedY
You can try aMule and run it on your Mac 'as is' since it's UB.
lord_muad_dib
i guess the bridged-like connection doesn't allow port redirections
KaiNeR
mine connects to emule ok with xp in parallels, what firewall are you using and have you forwarded the ports specified in the emule connection properties ? with the new version of emule it randomly picks different tcp/udp port on each install. The old one always used 4662 or something along those lines but i've been testing things for the past few days and noticed the port changes. Also try running the 'Test ports' in the emule config

G_G
You can try aMule and run it on your Mac 'as is' since it's UB. aMule hasn't been updated in what seems like forever. Before then heavy users were clamoring for protocol obfuscation (is anybody keeping up with this, or has traffic shaping not hit your ISP yet?), but were all silenced by the Steve Jobesque reply of "go get a life". Their official site has seemingly turned its back on the community, with an almost cryptic signoff message: "we forgot to ask for your money". The forum has vanished, replaced by an IRC address. So I don't know. Is it deader than dead or what? Anybody here in touch with member(s) of the team?
