meeloo
Hi, I'm using Input remapper one my MacBookPro (CoreDuo, 17") and I love it. I have only one probleme: it seems like IR conflicts with the Apple trackpad driver v1.2. I can scroll with the track pad (two fingers on the pad) but I can't click or right click with it (one and two fingers tap on the pad). I guess the problem may be related to the way IR filters the pad events before the mouse driver can get them so my suggestion is that it would be nice to have an option to completely disable the mouse filter and only keep the keyboard filter. Is that possible at all? Is there something else I should know to have my track pad work normally? Thanks in advance, meeloo
Beliyaal
I don't think that the apple driver supports tapping. I have not tried uninstalling Input Remapper, but when you disable it in the tray tapping does not work. Right click is accessible by putting two fingers on the pad and pressing the mouse button. meeloo
Two fingers + button does work indeed. It seems I misunderstood the release notes of bootcamp 1.2. Too bad! many thanks for the info! meeloo
digitalb0y
So, I wanted to make sure I had updated to BootCamp 1.2 drivers, to see if it solved some issues I had been having with the trackpad. Once I had the Apple keyboard manager turned off again, I was excited to find out the mapping the left keys to "fn, Win, alt, Ctrl" worked, because before the upgrade, the fn+F* keys never worked when I had them mapped in that order, and I always had to switch the fn and Win keys to make everything work correctly. So now everything is mapped the way I like it to be, but I somehow lost the trackpad functions (two fingers on the trackpad simultaneously makes the cursor fly all over the place). I can't use two fingers+click to right-click anymore, and I can't scroll with two fingers anymore either. I've reinstalled Input Remapper and it didn't help. Any idea what the issue is? Do I have to disable the new trackpad drivers that are on the BootCamp 1.2 image? Since the trackpad is currently working better for me than it ever has, I am reluctant to disable the Apple trackpad drivers, but I really miss the two-finger trackpad functions that Input Remapper adds. I am running a MacBook Pro 15" Windows XP BotCamp 1.2 Input Remapper 1.0.03 Thanks! dB
Beliyaal
I really miss the two-finger trackpad functions that Input Remapper adds. Input Remapper has no functionality for the track pad, it's all in the Apple drivers. There are ways to manually install only the trackpad drivers from the boot camp but I don't remember how any longer. You can also run Boot Camp setup and then remove the keyboard drivers manually.
