i had bought the Rose Bowl and America's Game 2004 Patriots from the iTunes store.  I had a harddrive crash thus losing them.  Is there anyway to get them back without using a torrent(    )?  and how can i unlock the volume on my iPod Nano 1g?

Apple will usually let you download all of your lost content at once in the event of a HD failure.  Email them and they should reply with a message telling you to "check for purchases" in iTunes, that it is a one-time thing (even though people have done it many more times) and a paragraph or two that you should back up your content regularly.
