leopardsanderson
Hi there! I tried to install Jas 10.4.8 with the intel patch from image Mac.OS.X.v10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3_by.JaS.iso Installation goes ok until first reboot: at reboot time it get into the grey screen with the apple in the middle and after one minute the rotating indicator stops. All blocked. I see the cd and HD icons of VMware flashing also when the screen is stuck, but after some minute them also stop flashing. I tried to: - change guest OS - change some configuration on the vmx file - reinstall another time - tried to access the command line pressing win key+S or alt+s (they say one of them should be the apple key) but nothing happened No success. I use VMware 5, Jas 10.4.8 kernel 8.1.1, intel core 2 duo 945PM with ATI mobility1300, 1GBram. I don't know, maybe it's silly: the installation iso has nvidia patch but no ATI patch, maybe I need it? And how I add it to the installation? And what about the console? how can I get access to it? With my problem I can't really do nothing else than running and stopping the VM... or reinstalling Hope you experienced something similar, here is my vmx as VMware configured it config.version = "8" virtualHW.version = "4" scsi0.present = "TRUE" memsize = "416" MemAllowAutoScaleDown = "FALSE" ide0:0.present = "TRUE" ide0:0.fileName = "Tigerx86_HDD.vmdk" ide1:0.present = "TRUE" ide1:0.fileName = "G:" ide1:0.deviceType = "cdrom-raw" floppy0.present = "FALSE" ethernet0.present = "TRUE" ethernet0.connectionType = "hostonly" ethernet0.virtualDev="e1000" sound.present = "TRUE" sound.virtualDev = "es1371" sound.fileName = "-1" sound.autodetect = "TRUE" displayName = "Tigerx86" guestOS = "winnt" nvram = "Windows NT.nvram" ide0:0.redo = "" ethernet0.addressType = "generated" uuid.location = "56 4d c3 94 c7 3e 7b 37-7d 02 c5 8a 57 6e bf 01" uuid.bios = "56 4d c3 94 c7 3e 7b 37-7d 02 c5 8a 57 6e bf 01" tools.remindInstall = "TRUE" ethernet0.generatedAddress = "00:0c:29:6e:bf:01" ethernet0.generatedAddressOffset = "0" workingDir = "." numvcpus = "2"
