fundidor
I haven't got Deadmoo's image yet... I just wonder what happens when you hit the button "check now" on "software update"... Does it perfom as we see it on a real Mac? Are we getting the updates from Apple's server? Thanks for your comments..

EECore
I wouldn't update anyway if i were you, as its the Devel branch they probably have authorized "keys" (maybe the same as the TPM serial) that allow you to update and without it, it might log the Attemped update. This Is Just my theory though. I'm a bit paranoid
enb14
If you install OSX with -x (pressing F8 before starting the installation) you will see a number maybe is the serial number, maybe changing it will let us update
learning_bird
If you have OSXx86 installed on a laptop try to spoof the Macaddress of the onboard NIC or use a recognized pccard and go to a public library, internet bar or go for a little of wardriving and find an open wi-fi router. macgirl
If you install OSX with -x (pressing F8 before starting the installation) you will see a number maybe is the serial number, maybe changing it will let us update Is nothing to do with that, you can download the updated manually and even that it wont install, because they are for PPC only, I ran on PearPC the same installation of Tiger and Software Update works, and serial number in PearPC is invented. I update my PowerBook Yesterday, I plan to copy the new Version of iPhoto (5.0.4), since I copy first from X86 to my Powerbook I think is universal binary EDIT: I just downloaded the single updater for iPhoto and it runs fine. macgirl
It says that my software is up-to-date but it is obviously not! i think Software Update has been disabled. No, it is not. Simply there are no Updated for X86, maybe some updates are in the Developer Channel for those that have registered Dev Kits.
