orristur
Hey guys, I have one of the new Black MacBooks and absolutely love it! But . . . I want to upgrade the RAM in this sucker. I think it takes (2) 1GB PC2-4200 SO-DIMM (DDR2-533). Since I'm going to have to take my two 512 MB chips out, i'll have to drop a few bucks to get two chips so price is key to me! So, I have a few questions for you guys. If you were in my situation: 1) Where would you by the chips? I want a good price, but I want a safe purchase. 2) Would you even bother trying to sell the two used 512MB chips? Thanks so much for your help guys! -Will
maca1
just so you know, the macbook comes with a 667-MHz DDR2 SDRAM-memory (PC2-5300). you can get the RAM either at OWC or newegg for a reasonable price. and selling the two 512MB ones, is an option and I'm sure there's someone out there that could use it. If not you can always keep them around just in case you ever want to sell your macbook (which I doubt) and use the new chips on your new machine..
